As the Supplier Development Manager, you will take ownership of developing and driving a comprehensive onboarding strategy, ensuring alignment across key stakeholders, with the overarching goal of achieving 90% supplier adoption across all categories by August 2025. Your focus will be on shaping and implementing a structured approach to onboarding, ensuring it aligns with organisational objectives and enhances our suppliers journey using the portal.

This role is working on a FTC for 12 months.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead the onboarding process, providing strategic oversight and serving as an escalation point for complex supplier issues. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Projects, Finance, and Buying & Merchandising, to ensure alignment with key portal milestones and operational goals. You will also develop best practices for supplier onboarding and engagement, ensuring seamless integration of the portal into suppliers’ daily order management processes.

By building strong supplier relationships, addressing challenges at a strategic level, and ensuring cross-departmental collaboration, you will play a critical role in driving supplier engagement and the successful adoption of the Supplier Portal.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a structured onboarding strategy to achieve 90% adoption of the Supplier Portal by August 2025, defining communication plans, key milestones, and adoption metrics to guide success
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers by understanding their needs, addressing challenges, and ensuring successful portal adoption through strategic guidance and support
  • Overseeing all supplier communications during the onboarding journey, ensuring clarity, alignment with broader objectives, and consistent engagement throughout the process.
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for complex supplier issues, providing strategic oversight while ensuring seamless onboarding transitions from setup to hypercare.

About You

You will be an excellent communicator, as well as highly organised due to the nature of the role. You will also be PC literate in excel, Microsoft word and SAP.
