Warehouse Operative

Our Distribution team are now looking for a Warehouse Operative to join them in delivering a world-class experience behind the scenes at Harrods. This role sits within our Knightsbridge-based Distribution Centre, where the team plays a vital role in ensuring our restaurants, food halls, and retail spaces are replenished daily. From receiving deliveries to transporting goods across our unique store, this is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. 

About the Role 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of our Knightsbridge Distribution function. You'll report directly to the Team Leader and work closely with a dedicated group of operatives, ensuring that all internal deliveries are scanned, transported, and processed correctly. Your focus will be on replenishing our food halls and restaurants, ensuring timely, accurate distribution of stock across the store. 

You'll be based in our kitchen and sub-basement areas, working on a rotational shift pattern, including weekends, between 6am–5am. Flexibility is key, as you'll be required to adapt to the evolving needs of the business. The role involves heavy lifting (up to 20kg), and you'll be on your feet in a busy, physically active environment. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Scanning and transporting deliveries to the correct in-store locations. 
• Ensuring warehouse picks are processed efficiently. 
• Replenishing stock in the food halls and restaurants. 
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety. 
• Reporting stock and data discrepancies promptly. 
• Following all internal processes and service standards. 

This role is based on-site and follows a rotational shift schedule, working 5 days over 7. Weekend working is required. 
 

About You 
 

You will be a proactive and reliable team player, able to thrive in a physically demanding environment. You’ll be comfortable lifting heavy loads, walking long distances through the store, and ensuring that all your tasks are completed to a high standard and on time. You’ll take pride in your work and understand the importance of your role in supporting Harrods’ seamless operations. 

You will: 

• Have excellent attention to detail and communication skills. 
• Be physically fit and comfortable lifting up to 20kg. 
• Demonstrate flexibility and reliability in your working patterns. 
• Work effectively as part of a team and independently. 
• Be numerate, literate, and eager to learn. 
• Ideally have experience in warehousing, hospitality, or a restaurant environment.
