Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a hard-working and dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our Distribution Centre in Thatcham.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative you will work as part of the warehouse team in ensuring that all daily tasks in our Thatcham warehouse are completed efficiently and accurately. This includes the accurate checking off of deliveries, the efficient processing of warehouse picks and the effective replenishment of the warehouse. You will provide support for the management team and to colleagues in providing the required service standards.

With a commitment to our high service standards and strong customer focus, you will be processing high end luxury items on our processing team ensuring all information is correct. Quickly developing a well-rounded knowledge of your area, you will proactively check and count consignments of goods, and be able to assist with any enquiry regarding incoming deliveries.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

Please see our Hybrid@Harrods policy on our Career Site for more information or speak to a member of our Talent Acquisition team if you have any questions regarding the requirements for this role.

This role is working the early shift which is from 07.00-15.00. Working every third weekend 07.00-15.00.

About You

You will be ensuring the housekeeping standards are maintained within the warehouse environment; you must be meticulous in your approach with a very keen eye for detail. As you will be using online systems in your day to day with the verifying process, you will need to have good PC literacy skills.

Having background in using SAP systems would be advantageous. You should be able to work flexible hours and days and demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role.  Numerical, literacy and communication skills are essential.
