Our in-house Production Kitchens are undertaking a transformation. Operational and Food Safety practices, similar to those found in food manufacturing are being introduced, and we’re now looking for a Quality Manager to help embed these new Food Safety and Quality Management processes. 

About the Role

As a Quality Manager at Harrods, you will lead a team of Quality Controllers, ensuring excellence in quality management across our production kitchens. Your role will involve balancing coaching and directive leadership to develop your team while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including buying, kitchens, and restaurants. You will also be responsible for maintaining the People Review process for Harrods' own staff, ensuring a high-performing and engaged team.
Operationally, you will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with Harrods and regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include investigating customer complaints, managing allergen risk, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with chefs to embed a strong food safety culture and play a key role in achieving departmental KPIs. Additionally, you will deputise for the Technical Manager as needed, supporting the wider technical function to uphold the highest quality and safety standards

This role is an FTC for 1 year. It is primarily Mon-Fri, however some weekend working is required according to business need.  

About You

You are an experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in food safety, holding a minimum Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP qualification. With in-depth knowledge of BRC or similar GFSI Food Safety Standards and experience in a manufacturing or food service environment, you are committed to maintaining the highest quality standards. A skilled leader, you have a proven ability to build and develop a high-performing quality management team while fostering strong working relationships with chefs and operational teams to drive a culture of excellence
You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills as you will be interacting with other business areas in your day to day. You’ll have good analytical skills and with excellent attention to detail. Having solid PC skills is a must, being particularly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
