We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Enterprise Service Administrator to join out IT team here at Harrods. You will be responsible for the end-to-end physical, virtual, on premises, and cloud platforms across Harrods, supporting us as we navigate through the next part of our journey. 

About the role 

This role will cover both our current on-premises data centres and drive our move to the cloud as part of our strategy. The Principal Enterprise Service Administrator will be responsible for taking on the current Harrods IT strategy and driving it to delivery through the creation of the roadmaps, principles, and guidelines, while continuing to evolve the strategy alongside our Infosec and architecture teams to ensure we have a secure and agile infrastructure/cloud platform. 

About you 

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified Azure engineer with operational and architect level experience, along with governance of the platforms. You will have a deep understanding and experience of virtual platforms, and certification in VM Ware, NSX-T, VSAN, VCF. You will have strong understanding and experience of integration with other services inside of Microsoft stack with demonstrable experience. 

Ideally you'll understand email systems like proof point, single sign-on, certificate services, authentication, privileged access, JML (joiner, mover and leavers) process. 

Further to this you will have: 

  • Hand on experience of HPe Synergy, and SAN Storage 

  • Consistently adopts strong, logical thinking when solving problems and troubleshooting. 

  • Ability to quickly penetrate technology areas to solve problems, ask relevant questions, be  proactive, take initiative, and drive for improvements and changes in approach. 

  • Demonstrates a broad outlook and ability to think medium to long-term. 

  • Demonstrates clear leadership and the ability to influence and persuade at all levels. 

  • Strong ability to influence and negotiate
