Our Merchandising team are now looking for a Head of Merchandising to lead and inspire a high-performing team while shaping the future of our merchandising strategy across Harrods. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, optimising processes, and ensuring our customers continue to enjoy an exceptional luxury shopping experience.


About the Role
As Head of Merchandising, you’ll report to the Merchandise Director and take ownership of setting and delivering the merchandising vision across all channels. You’ll manage a talented team of Merchandising Managers, Merchandisers and Demand Planners, while working closely with Buying Directors, Supply Chain, Finance and IT to ensure seamless delivery of commercial goals.


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring and role-modelling Harrods’ values.
  • Driving the merchandising strategy, maximising sales and profitability, and monitoring performance against budgets.
  • Overseeing demand planning, forecasting and replenishment to ensure product availability and operational efficiency.
  • Partnering with Buying to deliver a customer-focused product strategy, supported by accurate analysis and forecasting.
  • Driving process improvement, automation and cross-functional collaboration to create efficiencies and sustainable growth.
  • Acting as deputy for the Merchandise Director on key initiatives and projects.

This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days each week based at our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About You
You will be a commercially astute leader with proven experience in merchandising or supply chain, ideally within a multi-brand retail environment. You’ll bring the ability to balance strategic vision with operational delivery, and inspire those around you to achieve exceptional results.


You will also:

  • Have a collaborative leadership style, with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Possess excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to build trust and engagement at all levels.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and forecasting skills, with the ability to translate data into commercial decisions.
  • Thrive on challenge, with a tenacious and positive outlook.
  • Be highly organised, adaptable, and motivated to continuously improve processes.
